E-Deposit

The KB stores all publications printed in the Netherlands. In 1996 the KB began with the storage of electronic publications in the Deposit of Netherlands Publications.
It started with the collection and storage of off-line publications such as cd-rom's, cd-i's and floppy disks. In the near future, on-line publications will also be stored.

In 1999 the KB reached a general agreement with the Dutch Publishers' Association (NUV) on the deposit of electronic publications. This lays an excellent foundation for expanding the depository collection with all kinds of electronic publications (off-line and on-line).
