KB-pass

You can easily register online for a KB-pass. For only €15,- per year the KB-pass gives you access to the largest collection of Dutch books, newspapers and magazines and you have online access to the fast growing collection of digital publications.

Please note:

  • Library card holders must be 17 years of age
  • You can also register at your first visit to the KB. Please bring with you: personal identification(passport, ID-card or driver's license) and a printed proof of your recent address (for example a recent bank statement)
  • Licensed databases can only be accessed from home by KB year pass holders with the Dutch nationality or KB year pass holders with a foreign nationality during residence in the Netherlands. Foreigners who do not reside in the Netherlands can access the licensed databases in the KB reading rooms only. These databases are strictly meant for study or private use only.

Reading room pass

The free reading room pass is suitable for visitors who only wish to use the KB-reading rooms. Requests for this pass can be made at the information desk.
