Inter Library loan (ILL)

An IBL account enables you to request publications yourself from other libraries.

With an IBL account you may request materials from other libraries by means of the following library systems: Picarta, the Netherlands Central Catalogue (NCC) and the periodicals database Online Contents.

Books requested via IBL are sent to the KB and can be picked up there. Requested periodical articles or photocopies from books are sent directly to your home address.

The KB as go-between

If you do not have an IBL account the KB can request books or articles for you from another library. If a book or article is not held by libraries in The Netherlands, you may have the KB request it for you from a foreign library.
