The books in this section were acquired by the KB from private collections and legacies. The total number of books in this collection amounts to almost 10,000 and includes author's editions, limited [bibliofiele] and private press editions, manuscripts and rare, early prints.
Here you will find not only collections of books by authors such as Gerrit Achterberg, PC Boutens and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, but also collections devoted to particular individuals such as Joan of Arc and Dante Alighieri.
Some of the books are for library use only and can be examined in the Special Collections department; others can be taken out on loan. All publications are listed in the KB online public catalogue or the KB card catalogues.
