Inhoudsblokken

The ‘Future Parade’ is set to visit Dutch public libraries from June onwards. This travelling exhibition will visit 15 libraries across the country over the coming year. The Future Parade is a KB and SDG Netherlands initiative. With this collaboration, the KB aims to contribute to a sustainable future.

The Future Parade

The Future Parade’s motto is "Working together to make the world liveable for everyone!" The exhibition partly consists of fixed elements, such as an interactive game for 8- to 14-year-olds and a quiz about your own hidden impact. There is time for dialogue and questions at the Living Room of the Future.

Libraries can also collaborate with local partners for programming, which could include things such as repair cafés, second-hand clothes shops and other sustainable initiatives. For example, visitors can take second-hand clothes from the Free Fashion clothes rack, or add their own clothes.

The Future Parade will remain in each library for 3 weeks. From 28 May, the exhibition will be at Library Amstelland.

Sustainable Development Goals

For the Future Parade, the KB is collaborating with SDG Netherlands. This foundation is actively working on 17 Sustainable Development Goals and the Future Parade programme is designed to support all of them.
