The e-Depot of the KB, the national library of the Netherlands, has been awarded the CoreTrustSeal for Trustworthy Data Repositories. 

The KB is set to build an innovative, new book repository in which the National Library will store the Netherlands’ printed and written heritage safely and sustainably for the long term.

In 2021, the KB, National Library of the Netherlands, reached six million users with its digital services. 

What did people read in newspapers in the 17th century? We now know thanks to a collaboration between the KB and the Dutch Language Institute.

Since the start of the war, Dutch libraries have been accumulating a large collection of books and teaching materials for Ukrainian refugees. They vary from free printed and digital reading matter, to language aids, support for job-seekers, and meetings to make people feel at home in the Netherlands.

The KB, the National Library of the Netherlands, has signed a multiyear contract with library software maker Ex Libris for the use of their digital archiving system Rosetta.

The national digital public library was used well in the Netherlands last year. 84% of online library accounts borrowed at least one e-book or audio book. This is one of the conclusions of research carried out by the KB, National Library of the Netherlands, into the state of Dutch public libraries in 2021.
