The KB collects everything that is written in and about the Netherlands: from medieval manuscripts to websites. What do we collect and what not? How do we ensure that our collections remain accessible? And how do we ensure that our collections continue to inspire people?
Public libraries and the KB together form 1 network of public library facilities. They work well together. Together they determine the course of the library system.
The KB conducts a great deal of research. Sometimes our research is scientific. Sometimes we do applied research. Sometimes digitally, sometimes physically. But our focus is always on social impact.
