Foekje Boersma is hoofd van de afdeling Collectiebehoud. Haar expertise is duurzaam collectiemanagement: het zorgen voor de papieren collecties, waarbij zorgvuldig omgegaan wordt met energie en resources (bronnen). Denk aan materiaal, (financiële) middelen en mensen. Haar expertise draait ook om het mogelijk maken dat de papieren collecties veilig kunnen worden geraadpleegd. Namens de KB zit ze in verschillende netwerken die zich richten op collectiebehoud.

Foekje is opgeleid als restaurator. In haar werk houdt zij zich tegenwoordig voornamelijk bezig met collectiemanagement: het duurzaam bewaren en toegang faciliteren tot de fysieke collecties. Haar expertises zijn:
