The KB appointed two new Researchers-in-Residence for 2026. Sarah Shoilee (VU Amsterdam) and Dr. Luiza Teixeira-Costa (Meertens Institute) will be using the KB's collections and expertise to conduct their research. 

The KB has again received the CoreTrustSeal, which means we fulfill the basic requirements for a reliable digital archive.

At the end of 2028, the KB will temporarily move to the Berlagehuis in The Hague. At the current location, we will build a modernised public building.

Today, the KB signed an agreement to develop safe and transparent AI applications.

The KB is performing well. This is according to the letter to the House of Representatives sent by outgoing Minister Eppo Bruins regarding an evaluation. 

The KB is contributing to the development of GPT-NL, an ethical Large Language Model that respects copyright.

The KB has included the text of roughly 2.2 million Dutch-language Wikipedia articles in the web collection.

An unprecedented number of children and young people are members of the public library. This is according to the annual library figures published today by Statistics Netherlands (CBS) and the KB on September 11.

The 'serious game' MedievalMe has won a Dutch Interactive Award. The DIA is an award for the best Dutch interactive digital products.
